| Mr. & Mrs. Pirtle: Thank you so much for the donation of twenty-five 2-piece chicken strip dinners that was served yesterday to our juveniles in Shelby County Jail East, and are being tried as adults. We had a beautiful Sunday worship service for these young men and they were VERY surprised to receive this special Jack Pirtle’s meal, which completed their Sunday! You will hear more from me soon, but I just want to say God bless you and thank you for helping to shine a light where there is truly darkness! I’ll be in contact soon! Thanks again, Judy |

I live a couple of minutes away from Jack Pirtles. Although the chicken is to die for, I have to stay away from that place if I want to fit into my two piece this summer. LOL But seriously, I luv Jack Pirtles especially the gravy. I would eat there everyday if I could. Keep up the good work and customer service. |

My family loves Pirtle's whether it's the chicken, the livers, or a steak sandwich for my son-in law not to mention dredging biscuit and fries thru gravy--it's all yummy. One problem, not enough stores and nothing convenient to our areas, but there is a recently vacated building at the corner of Summer and Sycamore View that is much more accessible to all of us and your Bartlett and Cordova fans. Just a thought; we'd love to have you in the neighborhood, of course then I would probably need stock options to pay myself back for all the extra visits I could make! Keep up the great work, |

Hi Tawanda! I just met you at your store on Elvis Presley and want to let you know that you guys have the best chicken in Tennessee. I found you very warm in approaching me to see how I was being treated. That's what makes a great business owner, to make customer satisfaction your first priority. Keep up the good work and keep that fantastic chicken coming! |

To Whom It May Concern, I currently live in San Antonio, Texas but, I grew up in Memphis. I have been a huge fan of Pirtle's Chicken for many years. I am a retired military member looking for a franchise opportunity. Please let me know if your company is considering opening up opportunities for expansion through franchising. I'm sure that the San Antonio community would fall in love with your biscuits and gravy as well as the signature flavor of your chicken. |

I have grown up enjoying Jack Pirtle's chicken. No one can touch your steak sandwich or chicken sandwich. Your gravy is divine. Slaw is an art, one Jack Pirtle's has mastered.

| I very much appreciate the wonderful people employed at the Highland store. I never visit without enjoying your hospitality and graciousness. The friendly smiles and helpful employees only add to my pleasure in feasting on Jacks Pirtle's Chicken. I am a regular customer who visits several times a week. It's about time for another chicken sandwich with cheese, gravy, pickles and slaw. Delicious! |

My husband and I recently visited your Memphis, Tn elvis presely location. The staff there was so friendly and helpful. One young man in particular, Courtez, was working the drive thru window and he was extremely helpful and polite. He should be commended. Keep up the good work. A loyal customer

We did a drive thur for lunch at the 1370 Poplar Ave. location in Memphis, TN. Jerlene was the name of the lady that helped us. Our food was hot and delicious. I believe the Ticket # is 110 or the numbers at the bottom of the ticket were 0167 13:27 #04. I hope this info will qualify me for a free meal discount coupon because I love eating biscuits and gravy with hot crisp chicken at Jack Pirtles. |

Just wanted to drop you a line & show my appreciation for Jerlene & others at your 1370 Poplar Ave store... I’m a weekly customer & Jerlene has been a wonderful Drive-thru Attendant, always w/ a smile & something nice to say... You’d think the “Big ‘un’s” would learn fr: your store’s practice, but I guess that’s why they spend all the TV advertising dollars, to make up for the poor service & food quality... One nice addition I’d like to see is an awning at the drive-thru order intercom, especially on rainy days like today... And the last 3 weeks for that matter... ;-) Have a great day & remember, the sunshine will return... |

This weekend, October 15, 16, 17, 2010 my brother,
his partner from New Orleans and myself, from Nashville visited together
in Memphis. They had a friend that recommended Jack Pirtles’ chicken
from 30 years ago when she lived in the area, and we were very pleased
to find Jack Pirtles was still in business. We had the best fried
chicken lunch we could remember. The gravy and biscuits were wonderful
and the chicken was yummy! We would go again for sure.
Kay Steadman (aka Sukie) I sure wish you all would put a store in Bartlett!!!!!! |

Dear Friends at Jack Pirtle's,
I just wanted to say thank you for so many years of great fried chicken in Memphis. I still remember going to get chicken with my mother and grandmother in our 56 Chevy Belaire when I was very small, back in the early 1960's. It was the greatest fried chicken then, and it still is. No one else even comes close. Keep doing the best chicken anywhere.
Sincerely, |

Subject: My visit to Memphis
I was in Memphis from Jan.7-11 for Elvis' 75th birthday celebration. I was staying just off of Elvis Presley Blvd. and was pretty far from Gus's, which was the place everyone said I HAD to go to for fried chicken. Well, I had Jack Pirtle's first because it was closer. It was GREAT!!! I eventually made it to Gus's, and it was as good as everyone said. But, your chicken is wonderful and deserves just as must positive word of mouth as Gus's. Plus, you have LOTS of locations which is very convenient for customers. I will be back in Memphis Sept.23-27, and I will DEFINATELY be eating at Jack Pirtle's again!
Thank you!! Hinton, Houston, TX |

To whom it may concern I visited the Jack Pirtles on Highland Avenue for lunch yesterday and was well pleased with the service and my selection of food. I was assisted by Nay and she has always had such a pleasant demeanor and sense of urgency when servicing your customers. Since I work in the area, I visit at lunch time and she always keep the line moving and is aware of the limited time that your customers have for lunch break. I noticed on yesterday that there was a flyer in the window, commending her on "15 years" of service and I made sure to congratulate her. I am sure that she is a valuable asset to your company and I am sure that she will continue to maintain the many faithful customers that frequent Jack Pirtles Restaurant (It is down home delicious). Thank you for making choice of Nay; Have a great day! Diann J. |

I would like to commend your location for their hospitality. I have never gone in and saw attitude on someone's faces. They are always cheerful. Also, I would like commend the owners for not cutting back on quality. We are going through a bad economy now, and the quality of your product those not show it. Everything still taste very good, especially the gravy. Location: 2520 Mt. Moriah Memphis, TN Employee: Rose

| I stopped by the Highland Ave. store just after 10 pm on Friday, March 13. I was surprised and inordinately grateful to find them still serving. Jarese and her fellow employees were friendly, prompt and served my my favorite meal (chicken livers) hot, fresh and tasty. I received the same friendly service at that late hour that I have received many times at Pirtle's--both on Poplar and mostly on Highland. I hope this compliment will not only reach those on duty at that time but everyone on Highland who has given me such good service in the past. I believe I have phoned before to compliment such service and good food. Sincerely, Vincent Astor |

I just wanted to let you know that they are doing a great job there. Especially Nicole. She is always pleasant. She is an asset to your company. Thank you for your time, Tanya Jaudon Nesbit, MS |

I have been a Jack Pirtle's customer since the late 1960's and have ALWAYS been satisfied with the quality and price of the food. They know me on sight at the Mt Moriah location, and start ringing up my order as I near the register, which is a compliment to me that I appreciate. Contrast this with McDonald's and Wendy's which have a hard time getting it right when I tell them.
When I want something different, I go to the Highland store so as not to confuse my friends (yes, I said that) at Mt Moriah.
I miss the store you had on Summer Avenue for many years. Alas. It was very close to my home. Over the years, I also patronized the Poplar & Morgan Place store and the Lamar & Democrat stores when work put me close to them on a daily basis.
I miss the great beans you used to have....... |
